Decorators' Showcase

L.V. Harkness participated in the 2007 Decorators Showcase to benefit the Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass, Inc. The event was held in a late 18th century house, Rose Hill, about 12 miles south of Lexington.

Area designers were assigned rooms, porches, and gardens to bring to life with their design skills and products. L.V. Harkness was selected to showcase the master bedroom.

In this room, an array of ice blue shades cast a mood of relaxation. Elegance and simplicity captured the feelings of all who entered with the primary focus on the luxurious bedding and fabulous fabrics available at L.V. Harkness

Newly Added Rooftop Garden
Posted: 3/25/08
Ever since antiquity, when the first person had the notion to cultivate a garden atop a building, rooftop gardens have been used for architectural enhancement and decorative benefit. In fact, one of the original Seven Wonders of the World was a rooftop garden ” The Hanging Gardens of Babylon." Known for providing small wonders on a daily basis, perhaps it was only natural that L.V. Harkness desired a rooftop garden. With the assistance of legendary landscape architect Jon Carloftis, L.V. Harkness recently cultivated their own small "wonder of the world” their very own rooftop garden.
